FNLT Operations Endowment

The FNLT Operations Endowment generates income to fund the important work of the organization by offsetting annual budget costs. This fund started as a result of the donation of the Beefeater Farm by the Glatfelter Family of Spring Grove, which was placed under conservation easement and sold to a local family. Only the interest proceeds generated by this endowment are utilized by the organization on an as needed basis. Individuals and businesses can make a donation to this fund in confidence that the funds will only be used for FNLT’s annual operating costs.

Land Stewardship Endowment Fund

The FNLT Land Stewardship Endowment Fund generates income to fund ongoing costs of performing annual site inspections on our preserved lands.  FNLT is required by the IRS to annually monitor/inspect all properties under conservation easement (over 100 total).  Our monitoring program includes a personal site visit, photographs and reports.  These funds could also be used on legal council to enforce/uphold our conservation easement, should a major violation occur.  Only the interest proceeds generated by Land Stewardship Endowment Fund are used to cover these outlined costs.

FNLT Heritage Fund/Endowment Fund

The Farm & Natural Lands Trust of York County Endowment Fund of York County Community Foundation was initially created by a gift from Nancy and Paul H. Keiser, a former member of the FNLT Board of Directors.  The fund supports the FNLT’s preservation work, programs and operations. Individuals, families and businesses can make contributions to the Endowment Fund by donation of cash or stock the York County Community Foundation.

For information on making a donation of any kind, please contact Sean Kenny, Executive Director, at (717) 843-4411 or email skenny@farmtrust.org.
