ABOUT THE SASQUATCH 5 & 10 K

The 13th Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run 5K & 10K returns to the FNLT preserved South Branch Farms.

Once featured in Runner’s World magazine as one of America’s Top Trail Races, The Sasquatch is an all off-road, cross-country and trail runs across varied terrain and elevation on FNLT preserved farmland, woods, meadows and streams. Peep at native birds, deer, turkeys, owls, foxes, coyotes, snakes and…. sasquatches! The 10K has some steep climbs including OVER the historic Howard Tunnel / Heritage Rail Trail. Both runs cross the Codorus Creek near the finish.

BRISK PACE ONLY - if you'd need a slower pace - all good - please use the 5K.  Also, seek out FNLT's Preservation Steps events that feature several options to get out on preserved lands.  The Sasquatch is chip timed, with both the 10K & 5K starting at 9:00 AM sharp.

This is a PRIVATE property, so please - no trespassing before or after the race. Since this is an active farm, please NO ANIMALS. Due to the terrain, NO STROLLERS on the course. Come race day please carpool.

The Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run 5K & 10K benefits Farm & Natural Lands Trust of York County, dedicated to preservation of prime agricultural and sensitive environmental landscapes. FNLT has 175+ properties with almost 15,000 acres permanently preserved.

AWARDS & PRIZES

Each year finishers earn a new collectible Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run patches (courtesy of Valley Products) in place of trophies! Prizes awarded for both the 5K and 10K – Top Three Male & Female, Top Three Male & Female Age Groups (14 & Under,15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over). We also add random prizes and giveaways – in the past folks left with baked pies, local fruits and sweet corn… you never know!
