9th Annual Sasquatch Preservation 5 & 10 K Trail Run

ABOUT THE SASQUATCH 5 & 10 K 

Enjoy a fun challenging morning at the Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run 5K & 10K traversing the amazing varied landscapes of the FNLT preserved South Branch Farms in Seven Valleys. The Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run is chip timed and the 10K starts at 9:00 AM sharp with the 5K shortly after making everyone finish at the same finish line, around the same time, making for a grand celebration with lunch, beer, drinks and more!

The Sasquatch was named in Runner’s World magazine’s America’s Top Trail Races. We’re talking uninterrupted, all off-road, cross-country and trail runs covering mixed terrain and elevation on FNLT preserved land. Enjoy views of farmland, woods, meadows and streams – you might see native birds, deer, turkeys, owls, foxes, coyotes, snakes and sasquatches! The 10K is more challenging, with steep climbs including OVER the historic Howard Tunnel / Rail Trail. Both runs cross the Codorus Creek in the last stretch (a nice cool down)!  As our host and course designer Rob Kinsley states, “If you finish and you’re not wet and dirty, you’re disqualified!” 

Post-race features a picnic lunch spread from White Rose Bar & Grill, fruits from Flinchbaugh’s Orchard & Farm Market, beer sampling from Brewery Products (21+ with ID), music and celebration with your fellow runners. Bonus - smoothie samples plus discount coupons from Smoothie King!

This is a PRIVATE property, so please - no trespassing pre or post-race day. Since this is an active farm, please NO ANIMALS. Due to the terrain, NO STROLLERS on the course. Please car pool if possible (do this all the time!).

The Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run 5K & 10K benefits Farm & Natural Lands Trust of York County, dedicated to preservation of prime agricultural and sensitive environmental landscapes. REGISTRATION INFO - NOTE Shirts are SOLD OUT

Register at  https://runsignup.com/Race/PA/SevenValleys/SasquatchPreservationTrailRun510K (with an added fee), or send a check to FNLT. Tech-shirts are an additional $5.00 per person. Pricing is $20.00 through the end of August and $25.00 in September. Once we get to September, there are no shirts remaining and we do not do any additional orders – so register early! 

Early packet pick up is at Flying Feet Sport Shoes on Friday, September 6th from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Flying Feet is located at 1511 Mount Rose Avenue in York, PA. Race day registration starts at 7:30 AM. Tell them thanks, they do great things for runners in our community.

AWARDS & PRIZES

Each year finishers earn a new collectible Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run patches in place of trophies! Prizes awarded for both the 5K and 10K – Top Three Male & Female, Top Three Male & Female Age Groups, Best Costume and more. We also add random prizes and giveaways – in the past folks left with baked pies, local fruits and sweet corn, other race entries, sporting goods and other fun stuff.
